Testing is a good way to improve the conversion on webpages. Elements that can be tested on a (landing) page include: 

  • headers
  • pictures / photos
  • opening sentences
  • calls to action
  • warranties
  • actions
  • colors
  • placement of the elements

Specific software and knowledge about testing can save a lot of time. The software sends visitors to different versions of the page and calculates which of the elements has the highest conversion. Seasonal influences are excluded, because different versions of a web page are simultaneously tested.

A/B testing

In A / B testing one element is simultaneously tested. There may be more than two variants of a component to be tested, such a test is called an A / B / N testing.  For example the conversion on a page with different headers is tested. A / B tests are also used for testing the entire layout of a page.

Multivariate testing

Multivariate testing allows to test multiple elements simultaneously. Here you test which combination of elements has the highest conversion. For example you can test the header and an image simultaneously. It can also determine which element has the greatest influence on the website conversion.
