Eyetracking Research

During an eyetracking research people from your target group will assess your site by carrying out a number of assignments on your site.

By interviewing and observing the eye movements of the respondents we find among others the following:

  • How does you target group look at the main web pages?
  • How long do they look at certain parts?
  • Are there elements that steer the eye movement of the visitors?
  • Where are the bottlenecks in the site?
  • What would they like to see improved in the site?

Approach eyetracking research 

In consultation with the customer Netprofiler develops a questionnaire and a number of assignments. People from the target audience are invited to the research site. The respondents are prompted to enter your website. This may include queries, order instructions or login assignments.

The assignments allow an analysis of the viewer and user behavior. The viewing behavior provides insight into how the test participants see or miss certain elements, including buttons, links and texts.

The user behavior provides insight into the effectiveness of navigation and the ease with which an assignment is executed. The test participants eye movements, clicks and comments are being recorded.

Result eyetracking research

At first “heat maps” are being compiled. These are the main hotspots on your site. In addition, the individual sessions mapped and analyzed. The activities of the various individual respondents are also plotted and thoroughly analyzed. Based on this information you will get advice on:

  • How to improve the navigation
  • How to ensure that more pages are being viewed
  • Specific guidelines for functional and design changes to your website

The adaptations ensure that the use of your website will be very positive experience. With satisfied visitors as a result, an increase in the number of visitors, a professional image and more repeat visits. The heat maps, selections from the individual sessions (eyetracking videos), results of the analysis and advice will be presented to you in an interactive session.
